Getting here
Frauenfeld is on the line from Zurich via Winterthur to Weinfelden. It is a good half hour from Zurich, a quarter of an hour from Winterthur, and trains run often. Timetables are on sbb.ch.
The station is the best place to start: the festival site is right next to it, and the first artworks of the permanent exhibition are a few minutes’ walk away. So the tour begins more or less on the platform, and at the end you get back on where you set off.
By car
That works too. There are car parks and parking spaces in the centre, and the city’s Smart Parking shows in real time where a space is free.
From the car park you continue on foot. The artworks are spread across town, and the streets in between are what you came to see anyway.
