Sara Shogi

Sara Shogii is an Iranian artist based in Toronto. Her art tells powerful stories. With her project Book of People she captures the passion and resilience of Iranians during and after the protests and gives their experiences a voice. As an artist in exile, she knows the feeling of loss and of longing for home, and how art can become a bridge to a sense of belonging.

In her murals, Sara brings together emotion, poetry and a joy of life.

At the Street Art Festival Frauenfeld she is part of the community project with Cup of Colors and is creating a mural together with the refugee camp of the Peregrina Stiftung.

Like three other artists in exile, she will also design a panel surface in Lindenpark.
