Williann is a self-taught artist from France who has been drawing since earliest childhood, ever since she could first hold a pencil. Female figures have always been at the centre of her work. Her inspirations include 1950s pin-ups, black-and-white cartoons of the 1920s, Delft blue ceramics and traditional coats of arms. Her unmistakable style often carries strong messages of feminism and resilience.
For the Street Art Festival Frauenfeld, Williann designed this year’s key visual. It is her personal interpretation of the iconic “Fräuli und Leuli”.
She is also realising a large-format mural at the KAFF.
