Cut Through History

For the first edition of Street Art Frauenfeld. A 3D-anamorphic painting showing a seamstress, concentrated on her work with a red cloth. The motive taps into the history of the building where the artwork came to life, a former tailoring shop. With this work, I wanted to express my respect for the place and its past

BANE

About BANE

Chur, Switzerland

Bane is one of the most successful street artists in Switzerland. For him, urban art turns the world we live in into a gallery. And it is precisely into these lived worlds that the artist from Graubünden immerses himself with his work, acting as observer, creator and curator. Born in Chur in 1982, Bane took a path that led him at times through the deepest abysses, but also to ever new sources of inspiration. Inspiration to which Bane has given expression in works around the globe. His pieces now adorn cities from the eastern Mediterranean to Asia and are much-noticed exhibits in art galleries.
