Die Frau vom Feld
The name of the town of Frauenfeld served as the inspiration for this interpretation of the countrywoman. A contemporary interpretation of a woman close to nature, dressed in a variety of materials and textures such as wool and checked shirts. The various rings and gemstones on her fingernails form a counterweight to the earthy vision of the work and pose a profound question about BEING or SEEMING. Technique: the artist worked the artwork into the wood with a sanding machine.

Antoine LPVDA, an artist name, lives between Leysin and the Vallée de Joux. As a graffiti artist, landscape designer and self-taught street artist, he has swapped his brushes for a sanding machine, with which he makes astonishing frescoes on facades of weathered wood, with a striking result.
