Kumiko Installation

Marc Meier is a woodworker and artist from Frauenfeld who specialises in Kumiko, a traditional Japanese technique in which delicate wooden ornaments are made entirely without nails or screws. His passion for wood began at an early age. After intensive training and a great deal of practical experience, he now devotes himself entirely to creating unique Kumiko pieces that are both functional and artistic. His work combines precise craftsmanship with modern design.

After his tremendous support at the last festival, Marc took part in this year’s open call and is now showing his art at the Street Art Festival Frauenfeld for the first time.

He will give a workshop on the traditional Kumiko technique and create an installation at the Unterer Graben.
