Urban Art Installation

Jan Sebesta originally comes from the Czech Republic but has lived in Frauenfeld since 2002. He is known for stripping everyday objects of their original function and giving them a new meaning. Working with a broad range of materials, he explores themes such as transience, renewal and change.

His work reflects a critical engagement with consumer culture and its endless cycle of production and consumption. Through construction and deconstruction, Jan Sebesta transforms familiar forms without hiding their origin, inviting us to question anew what we see. His art is closely tied to space, context and the particular moment, and often arises from close observation of everyday life.

At the Street Art Festival Frauenfeld he will create an installation in the Botanical Garden.
