A snail crawls up the stairs and looks at you in a friendly way. For me, snails represent the antithesis of our society's time and performance pressure. Stairs also slow things down. To climb stairs, we need to use more effort and focus on the steps. A staircase can be an opportunity to consciously focus on our body and our breathing and thus escape time pressure for a moment. The snail keeps you company.
