Frauenfeld, July 11, 2024 — Following the success of the last edition, the next international street art festival will take place in Frauenfeld in 2025. The opening ceremony will take place from June 13 to 15, 2025, followed by a summer exhibition, which will be on display until the end of September 2025. New murals and installations will once again transform the city into a colorful work of art, accompanied by numerous activities to participate in and experience.
The initiators Monika and Marco Niedermann are impressed: “The success of 2023 motivates us 27,000 visitors paid us the honor in summer 2023. To this day, tourists, families, groups and street art enthusiasts travel to Frauenfeld to admire the works of art. We are particularly pleased that the people of Frauenfeld have also taken the murals to their hearts. Everyone seems to have a favorite work. The 2025 edition would not be possible without financial support from the Canton of Thurgau and the City of Frauenfeld. Thank you very much for your support! ”
Organizationally, a lot has also happened for the next issue. Anna Villiger, Cornelia Komposch, Christof Stillhard, Daniel Niedermann and Hansjörg Stettler are new members of the association's board. Monika and Marco Niedermann have left the board and took over the management of the association. With Alec Baillie, Taina Thoma (Taina), Petra Faye (eleven) and Alexander Huwyler (Easy One), the management of the newly created Communications, Murals, Installations and Cultural Participation departments was staffed by an experienced team.
“The positive responses reinforce us that things should continue and that we should strive for a participatory approach within the organization. The Frauenfeld Street Art Festival should be a celebration of the city and for the city. Interested people from the region can join the association,” explains Marco Niedermann. A registration on the website www.isaff.ch That's enough. Committed volunteers are also welcome and can get in touch via the website from now on.
The association “Pro Streetart Frauenfeld” is also looking for partners (private individuals or businesses) who would like to provide a wall or become a sponsor of the festival or a work of art.
The 2025 festival will bring many talented artists from the region, Switzerland and abroad to Frauenfeld. Alec Baillie, Head of Communications, gives a first insight: “The key visual for the poster, which was presented today, is designed by French artist Williann and shows an artistic version of the coat of arms of Frauenfeld, s'Fräuli with em Leuli. ”
